Maybe now that the scrotum-jetstream is moving eastward, maybe that will bring up warmer temperatures from the south, bringing up warm, moist air from the gulf, maybe, we can only pray 🙏 it will = rain. 🌧 According to the weather pattern of my day, that was the way it usually worked; you could almost count on it, the farmers still do. Winter comes in like a screaming banshee with talons of ice that can chill you to your soul. Then came the lamb.

Then we get the benefit and joy of the lamb for a few seasons before the return of a screaming banshee from a hellscape of ice and darkness.

At least with modern-day science, we could predict and prepare. Now the orange dick has taken away much of the essential scientific research, discovery and development in technology. The universities, the teachers of sciences and medical sciences, have been thrown them the shitter. Greed and war walk hand in hand, destruction, and destroying people's lives by their tin god dictators who think they are G-d. Maybe Taiwan has the right idea.

The Jewish community is "very on edge" Democratic lawmaker says after Boulder attack

Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler, the most senior Jewish member of the House, said that the Boulder, Colorado flamethrower attack was clearly antisemitic.

“Well, it was obviously an antisemitic attack and a latest in a series of antisemitic attacks,” Nadler told CNN. He went on to list the recent shooting of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, DC and the arson of Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home.

Nadler added that he would like to see an increase in funding for the protection of religious institutions so people can feel more safe.

“The Jewish community is very on edge and we want the federal government to do more and we’d like to see an increase in the budget for the protection, for the protection of provisions of the law because when someone talks about Israel and attacks Jewish institutions, Jewish people, that’s clearly antisemitism,” Nadler said.

Premiers seem cautiously optimistic as they prepare to pitch major projects to Carney

PM wants provinces to compete for federal approval of 'nation-building projects'

There was cautious optimism in the air as provincial and territorial premiers began arriving in Saskatoon to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney.

The first ministers are meeting on Monday, and Carney has said he wants to hear provincial ideas for "nation-building projects." The premiers and other stakeholders joined Carney for a reception on Sunday night, and the tone ahead of the event seemed fairly optimistic.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith — who has been pushing for Ottawa to meet a number of her government's conditions to move projects forward — met with Carney during the Sunday night event.

"I'm looking forward to finding some common ground. We had a couple nice texts and a couple of nice phone calls, and I think that there's a spirit of collaboration," Smith said on her way into the reception.
