Question: Mental effects after terrifying experiences?
πΉAI Overview
No one can buy your soul or your spirit, the part of you within that makes you who you are, your identity, it depends on your mental constitution, not just your physical constitution, if you can hold on to that identity, I believe the key word or operative word here is B.E.L.I.E.V.E! and H.O.P.E as long as you keep a candle lit and *believe* that the candle will lead you out of the darkness, that is *hope.*
At the point of suffering PTSD, I can only recommend that you seek professional psychological counseling.

Like, for example, a sudden sound like someone drops something, maybe a book. For me, that's like someone rolled a grenade under the door. I'm hanging onto the lightbulb on the ceiling, even with the tinier, but unexpected, sounds or motions, especially quick movements, also will make me jump, like a tiny insect from across a twenty-some foot or so further space away. I will catch the movement before I even notice it was an insect.
I also feel other people's emotions. Some days my sensitivities are higher than at other times, like the weather, depending on the Barometric pressure. All I can do is remain as calm as I can, stay away from crowds, chill, and pray that this too shall pass. Doing a lot of praying here in the Newsroom lately, maybe I should convert the Newsroom into a nunnery, eh!

Democrats see new openings for House wins in Trump country after first midterm races
Jamie Ager acknowledged that his path to flipping his western North Carolina seat involves what he called “difficult math.” Democrats haven’t represented the state’s 11th District in more than a decade, and President Donald Trump carried the seat by 10 points in 2024 under its current district lines.
BELIEVING is the candle that guides us out of the darkness into the light of HOPE!
But Ager, a fourth-generation farmer who won the Democratic primary Tuesday, is hoping his deep ties to the community will help overcome his party’s reputation. “Because I know so many people in the community, I’ve been a good business partner to a lot of folks, people see me less in the context of political partisanship, and more in the context of a friend, a neighbor, community member,” Ager said...

*Republicans could flip 3 more seats than Democrats*

Why Wall Street is calling out ‘echoes’ of the 2008 financial crisis
New York
—
For months, investors and analysts have kept a close eye on the shadowy corner of finance known as private credit, where alarm bells have stoked fears of a repeat of the 2008 financial crisis. Whether those alarms amount to a handful of isolated bad bets or a more menacing systemic weakness in the $1.8 trillion sector is far from clear. But if the latter is even a remote possibility, it’s worth understanding what the heck is going on.
A quick primer on ‘private credit’
Very simply, the term refers to investors lending money directly to private businesses, bypassing banks...

Where the battle for Senate control stands after the Texas and North Carolina primaries
The fight for control of the US Senate is now officially underway after primaries in Texas and North Carolina delivered the first clues for Democrats and Republicans as they prepare for an eight-month march to the November midterm elections. Democrats see some encouraging signs in Tuesday’s results about the energy in the party. Turnout in the Texas Democratic primary hit record levels for a midterm year, with more than 2.3 million ballots cast...
In the North Carolina primary, Democratic former Gov. Roy Cooper easily clinched the Senate nomination, receiving more than 750,000 votes — compared with about 625,000 for the entire GOP field. Those numbers align with CNN polling that shows Democrats are far more motivated to vote in the midterms than Republicans, despite having dismal views of their party leaders...
